FTP is short for File Transfer Protocol is an internet protocol. It is used to upload and manage files on your website. You can create new FTP accounts to give access to other users without giving them your cPanel login credentials. Creating FTP account in cPanel is very easy, just follow the steps below.

 

  1. Login to your cPanel account.
  2. Scroll to Files section and click on FTP Accounts.
  3. Type FTP usename in the Log In field.
  4. Select the Domain you are creating FTP for.
  5. Choose strong password and re enter that password. You can also use password generator to generate a strong password.
  6. Type in Directory name to which you want to connect and upload files.
  7. Choose FTP Quota or select Unlimited.
  8. Click on Create FTP Account and your FTP account will be created.
